Should You Go For CPA Marketing Or Affiliate Marketing?

Internet marketing is confusing even to the experts. For a beginner, it can become overwhelming. You’re constantly asking yourself all sorts of questions, just one of which being “CPA marketing or affiliate marketing?” First, you have to understand that there is a difference and what goes into it.

What you’ll notice right away is that advertisers don’t pay for the same thing within the two options. We typically think of them getting sales directly, and this is true for affiliate marketing. But when you get into CPA, purchases are for things like trial offers, e-mail sign ups and other actions.

Of course, there are some connections between these options. For example, both actually make use of affiliates. Many people prefer how CPA does it - getting them interested in a product before the sale is made, so there is no sense of pressure and instead a relationship is developed before the purchase.

You should not enter the niche marketing business until you have asked some questions.

Engaging in research is the most appropriate method to find a profitable niche. Go on discussion boards to see what people are looking for. Keyword research software can be used to see what the most popular searches are on any given subject. To discover new trends and movements you must keep you ears open.

Well, there are plenty of ways you can to tell if a niche is profitable. If the terms related to the niche seem to be searched often and if there aren’t too many people competing for them on search engines like Google, you may have found a good niche. But it’s still possible that the niche is not heavily marketed to simply because it is not marketable. You will find some niches have heavy search volumes and a lot of competition. Because of the high level of competition, you product or any niche marketing effort could be clearly profitable or it might fail if it’s not top notch and efficiently promoted.

Niches with no one competing in them are obscure but they can be found. But then again, it can be because there is really no market or the information can be found for free on the web. Test your niche so you are convinced that it is good.

How do I test my niche properly? A hypothetical product could be pitched or created which you can then go on discussion boards and ask questions about. Poll people that will read your thread so you can use them to gauge exactly how people are responding to your idea if the internet marketing discussion boards will allow that. If you were thinking about launching a product, do a pre-launch to see how people are responding. The use of low cost or even free marketing solutions can test the waters if you are thinking about promoting products through niche affiliate marketing programs.

What is the best way to make money with niche marketing? This is a difficult question because there really isn’t a “best” way to promote to a niche. Some people will find that for their niche, budget and/or capabilities, a blog will be more profitable for their niche. Some might consider setting up a newsletter whereas others might consider launching a small report or a full on e-book or video series for their niche. Making money using niche marketing is possible by using any one of a large variety of methods so to name one method as the best is extremely hard.
