Affiliate marketing is a method of marketing products through affiliates, who earn a commission for each sale they provide. Affiliate marketing is connected with, and often used together with, other forms of internet marketing, including search engine marketing, pay per click advertising and email marketing. Affiliate programs use a cost per action (CPA) model, where nothing is paid for ad impressions of clicks, but actual leads and sales.
The Advertiser’s Side
Advertisers, who use affiliate marketing to get sales, often see affiliate marketing as a superior form of online marketing. The main reason for this is that affiliate marketing is completely performance driven. If one of the affiliates can provide no sales, he will not be paid anything. The advertiser only needs to pay some of the profit he makes. If done right, affiliate marketing ensures that advertising costs are always below real revenue, so every sale will make real profit.
Another benefit over other forms of marketing is that the costs to launch an affiliate marketing campaign are very low. If the advertiser wants to recruit very many affiliates, other forms of marketing may be necessary to market the affiliate program for potential affiliates. However, to launch a small campaign it may be enough to add the program to some free affiliate program directories.
The Affiliate’s Side
Mane affiliate programs are free to join, so they can easily be made profitable. Every sale from these programs is profit for the affiliate. Many programs exist, where the share of the affiliate is actually higher than 50% of the final price, so the potential to profit is huge. Some programs offer recurring payments, and can build into streams of residual income.
As compared to pay per click (PPC) advertising, affiliate programs are in many ways a better way to monetize a web site. Affiliate programs usually have no policy that forbids encouraging clicks, on the contrary: writing favorably of the product is encouraged and expected. The advertisement can also be more easily blended with content, since affiliate link are often included in articles about the topic.

Affiliate directories act as a connection between advertisers and potential affiliates. Advertisers list their programs in the directory, and potential affiliates search the directory for affiliate programs that fit their web site theme.
There are many free directories to look into, but the most successful, and largest directories are paid, or take a commission. The most popular include ClickBank, Commission Junction, and ShareASale. These are used by thousands of advertisers and affiliates.

Referral programs are a brilliant viral marketing strategy because of their explosive growth potential. There are many kinds of referral programs, but they all are systems of benefits for service users that recruit new users. The benefits are sometimes cash, or commissions, sometimes account upgrades.
The explosive growth comes from the fact that each referred user may become a referrer himself. Assuming just five active users are referred by each user, a single user will end up recruiting 3905 users (five to the power of five) after five levels.
Referral Programs as a Marketing Strategy
Exponential growth is a good reason to create a referral program to market a service. The potential to grow is so enormous that everyone should at least try it. This is also a form of viral marketing, since users are doing the actual marketing work. The advertiser does not need to do anything once the ball gets rolling.
The important thing to keep in mind, when launching a new referral program is that most of the users should be of the type that will refer others. This is effectively used in the Get Paid To market, where users, who are trying to earn money online, are likely to try the referral program to add to their revenue.
Another related issue is that the program needs to have enough incentive. If the gains are not high enough, the referral program will not get enough attention. Ways to make it more appealing without risking too much money include adding multiple referral levels, and giving a percentage commission from recurring sales. The potential gain for the referrer is so much higher for these kinds of programs that they are very likely to get noticed.
Potential for Referring
If you have a large network of online contacts, referral programs are a good way to monetize it. When recruiting other it is important to have a good idea of the service through using it yourself first. Then an honest review of it may convert long term users.
The programs to choose are the ones, which offer multiple levels of referral commission, because you also benefit from the exponential growth of the downline. Also those programs with recurring commission instead of a flat referral fee have more potential in the long run.
It is important to choose referral programs with the correct theme to market. If you are marketing them in your blog, or a website, choose ones that fit the theme. Otherwise readers will rarely be interested. It is important to use all channels at your disposal, when you market a program. Don’t just stick with a blog post, but contact any email and IM contact that might be interested.

Exit Grabber is the latest software product spawned by the never ending evolution of the pop up genre. This one does not perform any circus acrobatics like its predecessors. Nothing flys, spins, floats, or peels.
It is non intrusive in its own way, mostly because it is a take off of the old exit pop up. It does not throw itself in front of you, blocking your view of the content that you were looking for, so it isn’t as irritating as most.
When used properly this one can actually be a little spooky. Your old school exit pop up would be activated when you closed the page or moved on to another page, thus replacing the website you just left. This one works on the same premise but with a twist.
When you move your mouse to enter a new URL or anywhere on the menu toolbar, presumably the back button or your favorites, the pop up is activated. This gives the impression that the software has anticipated your move or maybe even read your mind. This impression can be further amplified with a message like “Hey…You Don’t Really Want To Leave Do You?” or maybe “Don’t Click On That Yet!”.
The sale page claims a 300% increase in sales conversions. I don’t know about that but I can think of several ways to put this tool to use and am definitely going to give them a try. I can see how this could increase my sales and that’s what it’s all about.

The viral list builder and traffic generation system, Traffic Hits Multiplier, has added yet another surfing group to its arsenal. This system makes use of tabbed surfing to maximize your efficiency by browsing multiple pages of various hit exchanges simultaneously.
The system is designed to for internet marketers with little or no advertising budget. If you want to start your own online internet marketing busines there are 2 ways, the easy way or the hard way. Most people choose the hard way. Yes, they take the hard way and it costs them ten times more than it needs to cost them and takes them five times longer. Wouldn’t you like to take the easy way, which is cheaper, quicker and requires less work? Great let me show you how.
Step 1. Model What Works…
There are so many successful internet marketers online and it can be hard to find out whom to trust, but when you do find somebody that has proven themselves to be successful and honest, then I recommend that you model them and do what they do. Learn their internet marketing strategies and techniques and do what they do. Don’t copy them completely, you must have your own style but model what they do and how to do it and apply it to your own online internet marketing business.
Once you know what works you must apply step 2.
Step 2. Stick To What Works…
Just about every internet marketer, at one point in building their home business, jumps around from different internet marketing strategy to internet marketing strategy. Most people when they find what works, want to do something else instead of continuing to do what they know, works.
I can’t emphasize enough how important this is. You have to have a plan (step 1) and you must stick to that plan (step 2). If you learn nothing else from this article learn that.

You buy this new whiz-bang opportunity and before you can apply it something else comes out and stops you from apply the first and then something else and then something else. Before you know it, 2 years have passed, you are broke and you haven’t achieved anything.
Stop chasing the golden goose. Model what works and stick to it.
Starting your own online internet marketing business doesn’t have to be hard, it is easy when you know how, but it can be a huge learning curve when you are starting.
