Many people own many collections. People around the world love collecting crazy stuff from collectable paintings to just random antiques. But its very rare that someone ever masters a collection in their lifetime, if they do its because the area was too small and they managed it too easily. Perhaps then the art to collecting is not in the actual collecting but in choosing a genre of collectable that you enjoy E.G. You cant really own every classic car ever, but its a nice thing to try and own a few of. Antiques Blogs can be a good read if your looking for collection starting inspiration as can collectables for sale websites which there are a few good ones around! Either way I think everyone should have a good collection they love adding too.

I have been collecting famous peoples autographs for about 10 years, but until yesterday I never really knew why - I thought it was cool to have the celebrity autograph but never thought about selling it! - I sold 5 of my 500 collection of celebrity and film star autographs and managed to make a whopping $34090!!! pretty good for but a tiny proportion of my ever increasing collection! I would highly recommend it if you wanted to make a living out of any collectable.

Last week my cousin said to me “trekkie?” I did refuse but he later explained neither is he, but he is doing quite well running a trekkie collectables shop in regents street. He originally opened the shop as a test base for a general science fiction collectables shop. I thought it was a crazy idea myself - a star trek shop I thought - that’ll never catch on. But it did, partly I think due to its proximity to the big shops in london and also partly due to holiday makers. Good Luck to him I say, but he has asked me to find a good place to get better supplies of star trek collectables and I can’t find a good source! Better go…
