Recommended Car Sales - Wales

Just a quick one - I used Aber Car Sales today when I was looking for a good quality used car near aberystwyth (Clarach to be precise). The service was excellent and the cars were of a great standard. I tried several different used cars including a used renault, second hand rover, a used benz and a great preowned citreon. They really had a good range and would be worth a drive to if you are situated in west wales (ceredigion.)

They are easy to find, just type thier postcode into google maps, local used cars were always a pain for me because I had to drive miles or pay extortionate local dealers prices - I tend to not opt for private sellers because I have had bad experiences with a used bmw that lasted 3 years then exploded!

So thats pretty much It I suppose - If you are looking for a good honest quality used car dealer near aberystwyth west wales then definatly check out Aber Car Sales!

Electric cars for sale in uk

Electric cars are a bit like marmite. People either love the idea or hate the fact that they are so sensible. In reality humanity has come a long way with cars, the combustion engine has provided us with the ability to progress at the speed we have.

It was the real progression from the steam engines (burrell traction engine) to modern day. Diesel has hitch-hiked along but really without petrol combustion engines we wouldn’t be as developed as we are today.

Inevitable progression has perhaps come to its end - but should we all really just hand over the keys to our gas guzzling cars yet? there isn’t a viable electric car for my situation - that would do 300 miles in a day on a motorway comfortably without needing new batterys or a recharge. Yes I have to stop to refuel my car, yes my car burns fossil fuels. But it works, and allows me to work in turn. So for me an electric car may not be such a viable mode of transport.

However for your 30 mile a day maximum journeys, I don’t knock it. Its ideal - charge it up at night and drive slowly everywhere - sorted!

Build it and they will come (probably by car)

Constructing something can be arduous, long winded and tiring.  Similar traits can be found in things such as buying a used car, selling a nearly new car and such. But theres a certain law to the world, that is if you build something of some quality, based on good (or very bad) ideals and ideas, people will see it, some of them will chat about it etc.

The chances are though your numbers will still be small. Used car sellers are a prime example, 20% use online means to advertise thier cars. The remaining 80% (rounded from 81 down for sake of article) are left pushing thier sales in the real world, with thier cars vans and lorries sitting in lots throughout wales with sold signs as big as thier windscreen. And its worked for 10s of years, whats going to stop a car seller/tradesman from continuing this technique of car selling. Well in short everyday more people are switching to the internet for its advances in finding a good used car in wales. Locality isnt that much of a concern in a growing global marketplace.

Local is however still better, driving locally to find a used car can be much more rewarding, not to mention all the saved CO2 emission’s from driving locally.

never a scrap car to waste

Scrap cars - who needs them? smashed up front ends, anhilated spoilers, water damaged interiors. The way we live today favours throw away items, packaging that strangles wildlife. Well it did, but we seem to be getting better.

So what does happen to a scrapped car? Well if its in 4 million pieces probably not much more than a broom, wheel barrow and then a tip. but if half of it or even a 1/3 is in tact then its likely to live again in some shape or form.

Scrap cars can be kept in huge scrap lots, scrap merchants and breakers yards, awaiting some scavenger in need of a starter motor or two vauxhaul alloys, Others can be stripped completly of parts then sold off for metal, currently in fairly high demand as wars use it up and china builds more metal based products.

Direct into my Directory – Direct me???

Direct into my Directory – Direct me???

How many directories are there out there? All trying to sort the world into their databases so the world can ask for it back and pay them. Its a funny concept, car company’s listed in the same league as local fish mongers.

To me all these directorys are great, but they will never compare to google – the reason they try to compare is that they try to capture the whole cake, sell the whole car – instead of getting very good at being a mechanic. Google is a professional specialist at everything. It has perfected the box on its cv that says ‘everything’ frankly making alot of online directorys useless.

But not the ones that try to something different, that try to be the professional mechanic first then the professional car manufacturer. For example wheels-near you. They have a directory – great but actually yeah it is – they have chosen to have a central point to it, a niche, a longtail. They have a wheel-related directory – so everything in it has got or has something to do with wheels – from limo companys, to used car lots, from car boot sales to welsh rally schools. And they do it excellently. By choosing a niche from the start they instantly aren’t even competing with google, they are working with google. So next time you need anything wheel related (good mechanic, bus timetables or taxi’s) then go on down to wheels-near you’s wheel related directory.
