Insurance companies may look at your credit history when you apply for auto and home insurance. Here is some valuable information that may help you understand how insurance companies use your credit history.
What is an insurance credit score?
A credit score is a snapshot of your credit. Insurance companies enter information from your credit history and your insurance application into a credit-scoring computer model to calculate a specific insurance credit score. Your insurance credit score ranges from 0-999, with a higher number conveying a better score.
What kind of credit information do insurers use?
Each insurer decides what information they use in the credit scoring model. Some of the more common credit factors used by insurers are:
* Major negative items – bankruptcy, collections, foreclosures and liens;
* Past payment history – number and frequency of late payments, and days between due date and payment date;
* Length of credit history – amount of time a consumer has been in the credit system.
* Homeownership – whether a consumer owns or rents property.
* Inquiries for credit – number of times a consumer recently has applied for new accounts, including mortgage loans, utility accounts and credit card accounts.
* Number of open credit lines – number of major credit cards and department store credit cards.
* Type of credit in use – major credit cards, store credit cards and finance company loans.
* Outstanding debt – how much a consumer owes compared to how much credit is available.

Prepare for a rant, because people blaming violence on video games is one of my sensitive spots. This is so stupid. It’s bad enough that they have to go around hurting people and breaking other people’s things, but then to say they did it because of a video game? Okay, yes, Grand Theft Auto is pretty bad, but if they didn’t do it because of GTA, then they would have done it because of some other game, or because of people committing crime in real life. People that have urges to do those sorts of things don’t think it’s cool because a video game character does it, they think it’s cool because they haven’t been guided into strict morals (i.e., not stealing and destroying other people’s property) by parents or some other authority figure. There are millions of kids out there that have played games like GTA and never done anything wrong, because they were taught that you don’t do that sort of thing in real life. more

According to Carl O’Connor of Lisbon, who met the three with his wife, Beryl, great care was taken to ensure that the restoration was faithful to the original. The three visitors had been headed from their homes in Vancouver, B.C., to an auto show in the eastern United States. Auto restoration. After learning it was cancelled, they headed back on the route of the original race. Unbeknownst to the original racers, they were traveling the route that ultimately would become the Lincoln Highway. During the 10-year restoration of the Zust, they followed details from a journal created by the original owners, which were attested to by those involved. For example, when the car would break down on that 1908 race, the owners would have the mechanic who fixed it sign a statement about what he had done. more

Alfa Romeo have been making cars for over 100 years, in which time they have racked up a huge range of models and available engines/drive trains. The most recent being thier stunning supercar the 8c Compezion - a car more beautiful than keira nightly and redder than any ferrari. But what is your favourite alfa romeo? if you were to buy one used alfa romeo for sale, which would it be and why? Would you go for the most recent alfa or the older but bigger engine, cheaper option? Perhaps insurance groupings concern you - so going for an alfa tspark for sale would be less preferable to a JTD. In the end if its an alfa its going to be nice, because in the end - for automotive passion you cant compete with the Italians!

I have been collecting famous peoples autographs for about 10 years, but until yesterday I never really knew why - I thought it was cool to have the celebrity autograph but never thought about selling it! - I sold 5 of my 500 collection of celebrity and film star autographs and managed to make a whopping $34090!!! pretty good for but a tiny proportion of my ever increasing collection! I would highly recommend it if you wanted to make a living out of any collectable.

It really is a great thing that the automoblog is developing so fast - like a ferrari!!!

On September 5, 2007, the U.S. House of Representatives unanimously passed a bill, establishing every third week in October as National Teen Driver Safety Week. The week is dedicated and intended to inspire dialogue within communities - among teenagers, between teens and their parents, among parents, and among civic leaders - about the causes of and solutions to crashes.
“The new bill has gotten very little national attention” states Fortenbacher, president of Rookie Driver.Net.
“We’re trying to bring national media attention to the issue of teen driving safety because more needs to be done to prevent teen crashes, the leading cause of death for young people in the U.S.,” Fortenbacher says.
About Rookie Driver. Net

You can save as much as $1,500 on auto insurance for the same coverage simply by picking another insurance company. With that much money at stake, it really pays to shop around.
Begin your shopping online to get a feel for what’s out there. Now is a good time to shop for auto insurance because most companies are changing pricing policies. They are using computers to run new risk formulas and the result is a change in pricing.
