Strappy sandals with colorful toe nails, tan limbs, easy-breezy haircuts, aromatic suntan lotions and wild-patterned beachwear. Ahhhh, summer!
There’s a lot of preparation that goes into getting ready for summer. Many people begin working out months in advance with a vengeance so they can sport toned, washboard abs, tighter thighs and hips and shapely arms. They carefully shop for the perfect outfits, shoes, bathing suits and revealing togs to compliment the newly sleek physique.
Getting ready for fun in the sun basically encompasses the region from the neck down to the toes and most people forget to include their faces in the regimen. Sure, they remember to slather on sun block, wear a hat and sunglasses, and are careful not to overexpose their bodies with too much sun but the fact remains that unattended faces can make one look older than their years.
An unattended face is droopy because skin care is not enough; there are jowls and pouches, thin unexpressive lips and usually a double chin or tired, lined eyes. Most people are unaware that exercise can work for the face just as it works for the body. Just like your body, your face has muscles under the skin and these facial muscles require exercise to keep the skin from dragging downward. When the skin loses its resiliency the facial muscles no longer support the cheeks, lower mouth or forehead and a misshapen face develops over time. Even lips will lose fullness as the face loses volume.
How does one recapture a youthful visage? Will creams, lotions and potions reverse sagging muscles and make the skin tighter? Only if they would; we could all have toned tightened skin on every area of our body. Just think about it…sagging underarms - no problem, let’s just slap on a little cream or rear-end looking a little droopy - where’s that magic potion? Alas, that’s not possible.
Surgery for the face and lips has become epidemic yet there are many men and women who would rather count on natural methods to help them look their best. Nothing beats exercise. It forces oxygenated blood to the tissue, helps you look healthier and feel more alive. Imagine a younger looking face to match that new “ready for summer” body using an exercise routine that can be completed in just minutes a day. Not all exercise programs are created equal so for optimum results, choose one that offers isometric and resistance type movements.
In the face, the muscles are attached to bone on only one end; the other end inserts into another muscle or the skin. To achieve resistance the muscle and skin must be anchored. Only when the muscle is anchored can a contraction occur and when this happens, the muscle responds by tightening and repositioning; the face looks younger because the muscles, just below the skin, are in much better physical condition.

If you are going bald or notice that your hair is starting to thin, there are a number of excellent hair loss prevention measures you can take to stop the thinning and hair loss. Hair loss is caused by a number of things and some of them you have complete control over. Hair loss can be a result of stress. Is this the reason your hair is falling out? If so, you need to seek help immediately. This type of hair loss is often not permanent if you catch it in time. Another reason for thinning hair is a lack of important vitamins and minerals from the foods you are eating. You can restore your hair by changing your diet and getting enough fruits and leafy green vegetables daily. With either of these cases, you need to speak to your doctor immediately.
If your hair loss is due to genetics, which is most often the case, your hair loss is likely permanent. But that doesn’t mean you don’t have any options. You have a number of them to consider. Hair transplants are getting more popular because of the advancements made with the technology. In the past, hair plugs were used and they looked unnatural and didn’t do a great job filling in the hair. Today, hair transplant surgery is extremely good at creating a natural head of hair that is full. If you aren’t up for surgery, you can choose non surgical procedures such as hair weaves. This is where natural or synthetic hair is woven in with your own creating the appearance of a full head of hair.
Rogaine is another hair loss prevention alternative to consider. It is a topical cream that is applied directly to your scalp. Within 6 months, you will see new hair growth. The downside is once you stop applying Rogaine, you will likely loss the new hair. There are other hair loss drugs on the market, each with its own side effects. Manufacturers are making hair shampoos specifically for thinning hair. There are gentler on your hair and help create a fuller looking head of hair when it is dry. Be sure to check these out at your local pharmacy. For best results, speak to your doctor so that you understand all the options available to you based on your type of hair loss.

Contemporary therapists will assure you that the oil of rosemary is more immediately absorbed into the scalp and is preferred to the Caesar salad approach above, which probably feels pretty strange when the leaves begin to cool down . . .
Jojoba oil also has a long-lived reputation as a hair growth stimulant. While the other leaves and herbs in this solution may not have a record, in any age, from any civilization, of causing new hair growth, they smell wonderful.
But it is not only hearts and flowers with this particular mixture. A double blind, placebo controlled study proved this mixture effective in causing new hair growth in 44% of the 84 individuals who took part in the study.
44% massaged this formula of natural, aromatic oils into their scalp each night for a seventh month period and the results were positive.
Here is the hair oil recipe:
3 drops of essential oil of thyme
3 drops of essential oil of lavender
3 drops of essential oil of rosemary
3 drops of essential oil of cedarwood
1/8 cup of grapeseed oil
Mix the oils and aromatics together and bottle. Apply several drops of the mixture to areas of your scalp where you are experiencing hair loss. Massage the oil into your scalp for five minutes. Be sure that you do not take the oil internally or get the oils near the area of your eyes. Do not wash out until morning.
At bedtime, be sure to cover you r pillow with a protective slip, and cover your pillow with a towel to absorb excess oil from your head.
The success of this oil treatment will not occur for everyone, but 44% of those using it discovered a vital improvement in hair growth! The absolute key to this oil treatment is the 5-minute massage of the oil into the scalp, and the commitment of nightly application for seven months. And if you find that you are in the percentile that benefits from new hair growth, by all means, keep using it!

Microdermabrasion systems are safe for most all skin types. Microdermabrasion systems actually evolved from a process known as dermabrasion. Though effective, especially for serious dermis scarring, dermabrasion is harsh, requiring a metallic re-surfacing tool, anesthesia, and long recovery times. Microdermabrasion systems, however, gently smooth signs of aging, sun damage, and scarring with micro-crystal creams. The beauty of micro-crystal creams is how powerfully they polish the skin, but remains gentle and forgiving.
A special cleansing device circulates a cream, infused with tiny exfoliating crystals (aluminum oxide), directly onto the skin. These micro-crystals deep clean the skin’s outer-most layer of dead skin cells and other debris, while the re-surfacing wand massages the upper-most surface tissue, clears pores, and jumpstarts circulation. In turn, creating a fresh skin surface that diminishes the appearance of wrinkles, lines, spots, blemishes, uneven skin surfaces, and scarring caused by acne, childbirth, weight gain, aging, sun damage, or genetics.
The process is not painful but more like a deep cleansing tissue massage. The re-surfacing tool has various strength levels and is easy to control. Most licensed estheticians and cosmetologists, RNs, or doctors perform professional microdermabrasion services using a closed-loop vacuum system, to include a waste catching canister. Professional operators of microdermabrasion systems are required to be trained. Home systems are also available, and usually provide training manuals.
Microdermabrasion equipment is adjustable and easily tailored to your specific beauty needs.Most systems include the following basic components: hand-held resurfacing tool that applies exfoliating solutions, specially formulated creams infused with exfoliating micro-crystals (aluminum oxide), and various foam attachments designed for polishing all skin surfaces.
Most major cosmetic manufacturers sell microdermabrason equipment, many are conveniently available online. Simply conduct a search for “microdermabrasion systems.” Professional level microdermabrasion equipment is also available on the web, targeting salons, cosmetic surgeons, and entrepreneurs. The professional equipment is similar to many home systems in that they both use a buffing wand that applies micro-crystals. The primary differences between the two is that professional microdermabrasion equipment offers a re-surfacing device that simultaneously vacuums or sweeps the debris clear and increases tissue stimulation, while having more power and durability due to repeated use and varied clientele needs.
Microdermabrasion equipment ranges from inexpensive do-it-yourself lotion packages to medical and salon machines costing several thousands of dollars. This technology empowers you to experience serious skin improvements from home, at the salon, or in your dermatologist’s office without the inconvenience and risks involved with surgery, lasers, and chemicals.
Microdermabrasion Info provides detailed information on microdermabrasion, a progressive skin re-surfacing technique that targets wrinkles, lines, superficial scarring, stretch marks, acne, and sun damage. Microdermabrasion Info is the sister site of Acne Treatment Web.

Since acne is a condition that occurs from within your body and exhibits on the outside of your body, you need to,
* Attack acne from inside your body
* Attack acne from outside your body
If your acne is not to severe, all you might need is a good cream and need only to follow a few steps in my 12 step program to get you past the periods where acne is active.
If your acne is more severe, than you may have to follow my 12-step program, since acne is an expression of your whole body system and is a reflection of what is going on inside your mind, cell structure and internal organs.
Acne is an excessive toxic condition within your body, which the internal elimination organs are unable to eliminate. So your toxins are moved into your blood and excreted through your skin. It is an automatic survival mechanism your body initiates in an effort to protect the insides of your body - cells, liquid, blood, organs, and tissues.
There are 12 areas that you need to look at,
* Keep your face clean
* Using Scotty’s acne face cream or your favorite face cream
* Relive your constipation and the tree day liquid fast
* Making changes to your diet
* Get plenty of sun, air, and water
* Vitamins you need to be taking
* Minerals you should be taking
* Special supplements to take
* Herbal mixture to use or drink
* Special detoxifying drinks or supplements to take
* Brushing your skin
* Change your attitude
Step 1: Keeping your face clean
If you use face cosmetics, you need to stop. Some cosmetics irritate the skin and can cause acne by plugging up your pores on your face. The cosmetics chemicals that can cause you the most skin and pore irritation and inflammation are:
mineral oil lanolin parabens propylene glycol
Look at the label of the cosmetics you use. You will find that many cosmetics, soaps, and sunscreens contain these chemicals.
Find a water base make up, not an oil base. Find one that does not irritate your face and use it sparingly
When you wash your face don’t use any commercial soaps since they are filled with chemicals that will irritate and worsen your acne condition. And don’t excessive wash your face as this will dry your skin of the natural protective oil. Also, don’t keep touching your face since you spread or add bacteria to it.
To wash your face use only,
* Castile hand or liquid soap
* Pure glycerin hand soap
You can pat your face with a clean hot face towel to bring circulation to your face and to help open and move the toxic material, in the pimple, to the surface. Do not scrub hard to burst a pimple but just scrub lightly to burst a pimple when it is ready to open.
Use the hot towel application only 2-3 times per week.
When a pimple is open do not continue to rub or scrub it. In fact do not pick or scratch an open pimple since this could create other sores or leave scars that are difficult to remove. Just washing your face with clean soap will keep your face free of toxic matter.
Keep in mind,
Whatever you put on your skin will move into your skin and into your bloodstream.
Most commercial creams, lotions, and soaps are filled with all kinds of chemicals that are toxic to your body. By using them you are making your liver work harder.
During the day or at night avoid resting your cheeks or chin on your hand(s) or arm(s). This can irritate your face and cause acne to breakout. When you sleep, try to sleep on your back and not with your face or side of the face into your pillow.
There you have it. Step 1, shows you how to keep your face clean to avoid getting acne or to help relieve acne.

The third step in keeping the skin looking healthy and beautiful is moisturizing. A skin moisturizer will create a protective “film” over the skin which helps to hold the moisture in and keeps the natural pollutants in the air off of the skin.
There are many different products available to keep skin looking beautiful. There are products which can be bought individually as well as products which are sold together creating a skin care “system.”
Other than the three steps in keeping skin clean and beautiful, there are also products available to give problem skin some extra care. There are masks which can help many different skin conditions. Masks are made from many different ingredients. The ingredient used depends on the type of skin problem. There are masks for dry skin, oily skin, and acne. There are even masks to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Astringents are another type of skin care product. These astringents can deeply clean the skin. There are also acne treatments to help prevent as well as reduce an acne breakout.
Just because you were not born with beautiful skin, that does not mean that you can’t have beautiful skin.

A right hand ring is a great expression of your personality. Unlike an engagement ring, it isn’t limited by tradition. Here are some tips in mind to choose an affordable ring, that you will love for decades.
1. Consider your birthstone, but don’t be bound by it. For instance, my birthstone is a Ruby, I’m not a big fan of it. My right hand ring is tanzanite because I love the color & can wear it everyday.
2. This is the time for bling. A right hand ring should be bold & make a statement. Consider a cluster or three stone design.
3. A right hand ring doesn’t necessarily have to be gold & diamonds, it just needs to be special & something that you love.
So, go find yourself a ring that you love & speaks of your personality, you deserve it!

When I was a little kid, I thought that I would turn out to be special, different. As I grew up, I realized that being “grown up” meant a lot of paying bills & working. There just didn’t seem to be enough time to become the person that I wanted to be. I started thinking “Hmm, maybe I just am like everyone else”. So when big problems would arise, I would think, “Who am I to try & tackle that, I’m just a person?”.
However, I’ve learned that little things mean a lot to people. For instance, I give away jewelry once a week to a random person through my blog. I do this because I was hearing so many women say that they felt invisibile. I’ve heard it from people of all different social classes & all situations. I don’t know exactly why this is the case. I’ve been a waitress, I know what it’s like to be treated subpar, & to feel like people were just seeing what was wrong with their food, instead of who I was as a person. So this is one of many small ways of spreading an act of kindness.
If we all do little things, it can make a big difference. This can be anything from a smile, to paying for the car behind you at a toll both. They are all little things, but they show people that humans are still good, & that there is still some magic left in the world. Maybe I just am like everyone else, but I still have something to offer, everyone does.
