Hybrid cars are here to stay. Because of the many good features it can give you, you will definitely want to get one for your own. Incidentally, more and more people are now giving up their conventional car to purchase a hybrid car. So, why is it that increasingly people prefer getting a hybrid car instead of a conventional car even if hybrid car retail prices are far more expensive?
This is because hybrid cars run on two engines. One is the conventional internal combustion engine that you will find in conventional cars and the other is the electric motor and batteries. Hybrid cars are basically cars that combine electric energy and gasoline energy. By combining these two to power your car, it will run quieter, cleaner and far more efficient than conventional cars. These are the main advantages of hybrid cars.
Hybrid cars carry huge tax breaks. Also, you will be able to enjoy free parking and other incentives that the government imposed on hybrid car owners.
Now that you know about the main pros of the hybrid cars, you also need to know what the cons of hybrid cars are.
You can assure yourself of increased savings by way of lower fuel costs. Ironically, the main advantage of hybrid cars, which is the electric motor, is also its downfall. When a hybrid car is involved in an accident getting out the inmates safely will be difficult because of the dangers of electrocution. Hybrid cars carry large amounts of voltage. When it gets involved in an accident, wires from the battery may tear off and will be potentially dangerous to handle.
Another disadvantage of hybrid cars is a fancy price tag. However, you can make up for it in the longer run by way of reduced running costs. Try and compute the amount of gasoline both cars will consume during its lifetime and add it to the retail price of the car. You will see that the conventional car will tend to be more expensive than hybrid cars when you look at it in a long term basis.
These are the pros and cons of hybrid cars. You can see that it contains more advantages than disadvantages. Most hybrid cars today are now integrated with the latest technology in car safety. - benefits of hybrid cars - comparing hybrid cars.

Foreign governments and ISPs have implemented VoIP filters. This means non-approved VoIP phone calls are blocked or crippled. How can Asterisk developers and providers develop mechanisms to help maintain communication through the wake of government supported access control mechanisms?
Blake Cornell and Jeremy McNamara are speaking at The Last HOPE conference at The Hotel Pennsylvania in New York City on Friday, July 18th at 5:00PM.
They will document the attempts by foreign governments to block the usage of VoIP Services and will provide way to ‘work around’ these limitations.

After the early days of the poker game, poker became a bit isolated from the world. Limited by law in many countries to high-rolling casinos, the poker game was out of reach for the average citizen. Therefore, beginners and novices who were interested in the game had a hard time to pursue their dream.
Why? Because they should be ready to shell out large amounts of cash money to be able to play. Moreover, the beginner should be ready to face the challenge of trying to stay expressionless even though his card has absolutely no sign of winning, or his opponent will have the opportunity to read his reaction and every movement.
Luckily, with the information era online poker came into the scene. Through the years, online poker has become so significant that the World Series of Poker accept entries from players of purely online poker background.
Today there are literally hundreds of online poker rooms to choose from. They each have their strengths and their weaknesses and most also their loyal players.
The new wave of online poker has made the game readily available to each and everyone who is interested.

In a word Bayesian spam filters are “intelligent”. Bayesian spam filters are intelligent in so far as they’re capable of comparing two sets of information and acting on the result. This is in direct contrast to the vast majority of other spam filters who use pre-built rules to decide which e-mail is spam and which is not.
Bayesian spam filters can take one group of legitimate e-mail and another group of spam and compare the values and data of each. The definition of legitimate e-mail that it creates at the end of this comparison session is what it uses going forward to scan your inbox for spam.
FYI Bayesian spam filters are named after Thomas Bayes an 18 century cleric who created something known as Bayes Theorem. In summary Bayes Theorem is as follows: ..”in statistical inference to update estimates of the probability that different hypotheses are true, based on observations and a knowledge of how likely those observations are, given each hypothesis.” In plain English it looks for obvious repeating patterns to form an “opinion” on something. In spam filter terms that “opinion” becomes a rule which keeps you spam free (or pretty close
The really neat thing about Bayesian filters is that they’re capable of learning. For example if they decided to block an e-mail because the filter perceived it as junk but the user marked it as valid mail the Bayesian filter then knows not to block that type of e-mail in the future. So, in time, this type of spam filter learns enough to block spam far more effectively. AOL have embraced this type of spam filter with the launch of AOL 9.0 and AOL Communicator- if the big dog wants it then it must be worthwhile?
So what Bayesian spam filtering options are available to you? Well quite a few to be honest and you’ll be pleasantly surprised by some of the names involved
The first one on the list is AOL with their AOL Communicator product. The spam filtering features in AOL Communicator and AOL 9 are, to be honest, impressive. Think what you will of the provider themselves AOL Communicator is an excellent product and is suitable for use by both PC and Mac OSX users.
Next up we have Eudora. The nice folks at Qualcomm have designed an excellent e-mail client that also has built in Bayesian spam filtering. I’ve used Eudora in the past and it’s a neat little package. Again the benefits here are advanced integrated spam filtering with your e-mail automatically. Mac OSX and OS9 users are in luck with Eudora providing support for both.

o you bought a new PC for yourself or a relative during the holidays. There was the initial excitement about its speed and the nice screen – and then it came time to actually get it running. Which meant embarking on some real work -– downloading a browser, a couple of multimedia players, a PDF reader, a toolbar, and maybe something for voice and instant messaging. Don’t forget the anti-spyware and anti-virus apps – you’ve got to have those. Hours, maybe even days, go by. How many wizards have you clicked through, not to mention license agreements and preference pickers? And then you have to ask: did I get everything? And how am I going to keep all of this up to date?
This has been my experience too many times. I wanted to simplify the project. This led me to Google and Google Pack– a one-stop software package that helps you discover, install, and maintain a wide range of essential PC programs. It is easier for everyone. And it’s free.
It downloads in minutes and installs in just a few clicks. There’s only one license agreement – and no wizards. And there’s a tool called the Google Updater that keeps all the software in the Google Pack current. Even if you already have some of the software in the Pack, you can use the Google Updater to update and manage it.
And now the question for you is: what will you do with all that time you’ve saved?

CCNA certification demands that you master the basics of OSPF, and for many studying for the CCNA exam, their first exposure to OSPF is a hub-and-spoke configuration. That’s a tough way to get started, because a hub-and-spoke configuration built over an NBMA technology such as Frame Relay requires quite a bit of attention to detail. Let’s take a quick look at several common OSPF configuration errors and how to avoid them on your CCNA test.
Make sure the hub is the designated router and that there are no backup designated routers. This is done by setting the OSPF interface priority to zero on the spoke routers. This not only ensures that the hub wins the DR election with its default OSPF interface priority of 1, but it prevents the spokes from ever having a chance to become the DR or BDR.
Configure neighbor statements on the hub. Since we’re dealing with an NBMA network, the hub cannot dynamically discover its neighbors. Neighbor statements are not needed on the spokes. (They don’t hurt anything, but they don’t do anything, either.)
Finally, if your OSPF adjacencies do not form as expected, make sure to use your OSI model knowledge to approach the problem. The issue may actually be at Layer Two, with your Frame Relay configuration. If you don’t use the “broadcast” option on your frame relay statements, OSPF hellos will not be transmitted successfully between potential neighbors. OSPF hellos are multicast, but the “broadcast” option for Frame Relay includes multicasts.
By paying special attention to these details, you’re that much close to CCNA exam day success and earning your certification. I recommend that you get some experience with configuring OSPF hub-and-spoke before taking the CCNA exam, because it’s by actually performing tasks such as this that makes you supremely confident on CCNA test day.

With the rise of smart phones such as the iPhone and the upcoming Prada phone from LG, everyone and their brother is predicting the demise of the ringtone industry. They may have a point - after all, these devices double as MP3 players, and hence one’s entire music collection could be called upon to be used as a ringtone.
But let’s not sell ringtones too short, too quickly. If history is any indicator, these high tech gadgets are usually snapped up by the early adopters. Your average Joe and Josephine are not going to run out and drop half a grand on a Prada at the drop of a hat. No, the average cell phone user will be downloading ringtones for a long time to come - and of course they’ll be searching for free ringtones. The prices that providers can charge for ringtones will be forced to decline, of course, as the adoption of smart phones increase; so well undoubtedly see many sites popping up offering completely free ringtones to satisfy consumer demand. Bank on it.
