Car auctions can be a great place to snap up a bargain - but online there are so many car auctions available to browse. I had been searching high and low for a used but modified ford focus, only to come to the big names and not find a decent modified car.
I then came across UK modified car auctions, which had a good range of modified cars for sale in the uk. And because they are auctions you can snap up some great deals. Modified car hunting has been alot more fun since, I have brought 4 different cars in the last year - cleaned them up a bit and sold them on! all thanks to getting them at online modified car auctions. A great way to do it if you ask moi!
Typically its your boy racers who buy a semi nice car - do it up, adding 5k of stereo, 4k body kits, 4k paintjob and a whole lot more - I saw this one ford escort that had had more than 50k put into it for sale at just £8k - thats insanity. So dont pimp it yourself kids - get one from an online modified car auction! they rule!

Just a quick one - I used Aber Car Sales today when I was looking for a good quality used car near aberystwyth (Clarach to be precise). The service was excellent and the cars were of a great standard. I tried several different used cars including a used renault, second hand rover, a used benz and a great preowned citreon. They really had a good range and would be worth a drive to if you are situated in west wales (ceredigion.)
They are easy to find, just type thier postcode into google maps, local used cars were always a pain for me because I had to drive miles or pay extortionate local dealers prices - I tend to not opt for private sellers because I have had bad experiences with a used bmw that lasted 3 years then exploded!

On September 5, 2007, the U.S. House of Representatives unanimously passed a bill, establishing every third week in October as National Teen Driver Safety Week. The week is dedicated and intended to inspire dialogue within communities - among teenagers, between teens and their parents, among parents, and among civic leaders - about the causes of and solutions to crashes.
“The new bill has gotten very little national attention” states Fortenbacher, president of Rookie Driver.Net.

Finding a breaker for a damaged repairable vauxhall vectra has been a struggle. Mainly because I am after a whole left wing - which seems to always get pelted on vauxhall vectras.
So I am now using the internet to seek a vauxhall damaged repairable vectra. I will visit a salvage or car dismantler within 40 miles of Cardiff. I need the parts because my wife idly scraped along a very harsh wall and as a result took half the car off and left it in lampeter. I would also like to find a panel beater that works around lampeter to fit the new bodywork (provided I find a damaged repairable car for sale locally.) Scrap cars - who needs them? smashed up front ends, anhilated spoilers, water damaged interiors. The way we live today favours throw away items, packaging that strangles wildlife. Well it did, but we seem to be getting better.
So what does happen to a scrapped car? Well if its in 4 million pieces probably not much more than a broom, wheel barrow and then a tip. but if half of it or even a 1/3 is in tact then its likely to live again in some shape or form.
Scrap cars can be kept in huge scrap lots, scrap merchants and breakers yards, awaiting some scavenger in need of a starter motor or two vauxhaul alloys, Others can be stripped completly of parts then sold off for metal, currently in fairly high demand as wars use it up and china builds more metal based products.
