What is best christmas present for a 10 year old

I am buying a present for my nephew and cant decide whether to go for a pit bike or remote control car. With the pit bikes you get a lot more exercise out of the kid - e.g. its a much more active present that will keep him riding around everywhere, fixing it, carrying it, jumping it etc.

But the remote control car is safer - even if you get a petrol rc car I am fairly sure its classed as safer than buying a petrol pit bike for your kid. I mean they both use petrol so I suppose they are both a bit dangerous, but for a 10 year old what do you guys suggest? If I was ten I would go for the pit bike (can get them in black 125cc) but my kid is more into cars than bikes so do you think that’s a better idea?

New York, New York!

It’s been a long time since I’ve been on holiday, so I thought it was time I treated myself to a trip abroad. I began my search for that infamous bargain… I fired up Google and away I went on a travel search-arama! I started with the usual sites that pop into your head, you know, the big names: Travelocity, Hotels.com, Ebookers etc etc but they didn’t really come up trumps. I wasn’t even sure of the destination so I read a few lonely planet guides and settled on the big apple, home of yellow cabs, broadway and time square. It sounded perfect. All I wanted now was a cheap hotel in New York which offered luxury at a cracking price. Was that too much to ask?

Perhaps… Then I stumbled upon a surprise find over at Expedia. To be honest I was shocked that one of the big names would offer the right deal after trawling through the competition. But that shock soon turned into pleasant surprise when I looked through the huge inventory of New York hotels available at Expedia. Great! I thought, got the hotel what about the flight? I also needed a flight to New York and I wanted it to be with one of the bigger airlines, since it’s about 6 hours from Heathrow and there is nothing worse than sitting on a plane for hours, in a seat with 6 inches of legroom, whilst someone kicks you in the back as you cross the pond!

So which airline would it be? Well I was actually inspired by an ad on TV. I’m not usually a slave to advertising but since it had that guy from the Sopranos and basically said they were used to flying angry New Yorkers I thought I’d take a look at American Airlines. Well again things looked promising and I ended up booking an American Airlines flight to New York at a pretty good price.

So I’m all set for my holiday in New York. I’ll let you know how I find the Big Apple when I get back. I’ve already booked my tickets for Phantom of the Opera and the Empire State Building and I can’t wait! And remember, if you’re looking for a good travel deal on your next trip don’t forget to check out the big names as they can sometimes prove to be surprisingly good!

The Critical Critics - Brutally honest movie reviews

Going to the movies this weekend? Before you do, visit The Critical Critics. You’ll find movie reviews and more movie reviews of all the latest and greatest independent and Hollywood films. What you won’t find are flashy, annoying graphics or droves of information you don’t need or care about. The resident critics provide critiques that are easy to understand and refreshingly honest – the way movie reviews are meant to be.

So remember to visit The Critical Critics prior to settling on a movie to see. Chances are they’ve seen it already and may very well be able to save you the aggravation of seeing a flop. I’ve managed to dodge several bad movies thanks to their reviews and I suspect you will too. I can’t recommend them enough; their service is invaluable!

Create The Perfect Corporate Party And Win!

The perfect company bash can be the ideal way to break the ice for those attending, and help to allay any fears that most people have when going to a work party. If your staff show up and are immediately immersed in what you have created whether it be a day at the beach, a group visit to a ball game or a pool tournament at the local bar, if it’s fun they will begin to gravitate to the focal point of your theme. Do something that allows them to be with one another but in a different way than they have to everyday.

Without a doubt food and entertainment are the constants when it concerns corporate event planning. You can compile all of these things together yourself, or engage the assistance of some professional event planners. There are several national event planning companies that can help organize your next corporate event.

Is there anything in particular that makes the ideal company bash? It depends on a few different factors what is the business you are involved in, and who is coming to the party? It doesn’t matter how big, or who shows up at the event, the key ingredient is always the food for their eyes and ears as well as their mouths! Entertainment and edible goodies always causes conversation.

Possibly you’re designing a corporate party to promote team building inside the company, or to integrate a group of new employees. If this is the showcase then you will want to include some kind of team building activity for your special event.

Team building actions can aggregate tangible and/or mental abilities as well as competitiveness, group involvement and communicating. By making some fun, exciting team building activities you will assist your employees to become more acquainted with one another, which will in lead to improved workplace communicating in the long-term.

The events and games you create could be mental games such as trivia with multiple teams, or they could be physical in nature encouraging the strong to assist the weaker team mates to establish the concept of teamwork. Create a fun and competitive atmosphere by offering unique and interesting awards and prizes, and you can even create a grand prize that you know will be coveted by this particular group, and watch the sparks fly and competitive juices start to flow.

Working with Concert Ticket Brokers

Once the weather begins to become more pleasant and the doldrums of winter commence to disappear from thoughts lots of individuals begin to re-awaken and prepare for the outside activities that warmer weather can offer.

The spring and summer seasons are frequently spent outside and the greatest way for many individuals to spend them is to hit the parking lot of an arena and begin barbecuing and mixing drinks at their favorite band’s concert.

All the hot concerts normally take place during this time and top tours are arranged for the fun. So call your concert ticket broker and buy your tickets for the show now!

Most people are very aware of when the concert tickets for their favorite band will go on sale and obtaining great seats can be a problem. Of course if you are able to plan ahead of time and order direct from the box office you will save money by purchasing your tickets at face value. Employing a legitimate concert ticket broker is a good way to get last minute concert tickets and superior seats.

The cost can be high of course, but you will be able to get the seats you desire at no risk and delivered to your doorstep right from your computer or phone.

Internet Gambling - Casinos Suffering

As the title says, “Casinos Suffering”, but what has internet gambling done for individual players and their sufferings? With the new laws that came into effect late last year in the US, no longer can US citizens or anyone for that matter, gamble online in the US. Big brother is watching and US banks are no longer allowed to accept online gambling charges to a customer’s credit card. No doubt, this has had a huge effect on the profitability of online casinos. Now the attention has moved to other countries.

Each year, thousands suffer from the addiction of gambling, leaving many families ruined. Whilst the US has placed legislation to prevent online gambling, whatabout for the bricks and mortar casinos? They are somehow allowed to stay. Casting rules for one lot of casinos isn’t fair, but it’s the only way the government can continue to line their pockets with gambling taxes and income. These offshore gambling houses never compensated the US government, yet physical casinos had to pay each year large sums to “bribe” the government to allow them to stay. That’s the difference.
