I like to think I have a personal affinity with engines. Whether they are little 23cc ones propelling radio controlled cars around muddy tracks or big old’ 6litre lumps. I always thought this was the case anyway.
But recently my 1.9tdi just hasnt been performing as much as I had hoped it would when I brought it, the engine appears drab and underpowered. But I suppose thats what you get with used cars in the UK. I think I may even opt for a bigger turbo when this turbo unit dies, which it seems to be - maybe I will stick a 180bhp one on - should spruce the pedals up a bit!
On another note I have been having a go with this awesome little radio controlled car this week - seriously cool little thing. Its 1/5th scale so its about a foot and a half long - but I swear this thing shifts. Itd be an awesome ride if you could stick some camera to it - would need to be more than 30 fps though!!!!

Times come and times go but for 20 years remote control toys have been a top seller at christmas time. It can take a lot to satisfy the youth of today - xmas presents seem to be a different ball game these days.
Just on a quick search for xmas presents I have found Petrol remote controlled hummers, Business books and a whole range of other things that seem appropriate for my johnny, but how much should I spend?
I mean it takes the biscuit what some parents will lay out for thier children once every year. I don’t mind spending a few hundred but more than that and they are just pushing thier luck if you ask me.
I say get one seriously good christmas present like a petrol rc car and they should be happy enough. Obviously a few little bits like oranges help bulk it up in appearance! God I love xmas time!

Just a quick one - I used Aber Car Sales today when I was looking for a good quality used car near aberystwyth (Clarach to be precise). The service was excellent and the cars were of a great standard. I tried several different used cars including a used renault, second hand rover, a used benz and a great preowned citreon. They really had a good range and would be worth a drive to if you are situated in west wales (ceredigion.)
They are easy to find, just type thier postcode into google maps, local used cars were always a pain for me because I had to drive miles or pay extortionate local dealers prices - I tend to not opt for private sellers because I have had bad experiences with a used bmw that lasted 3 years then exploded!

Scrap cars - who needs them? smashed up front ends, anhilated spoilers, water damaged interiors. The way we live today favours throw away items, packaging that strangles wildlife. Well it did, but we seem to be getting better.
So what does happen to a scrapped car? Well if its in 4 million pieces probably not much more than a broom, wheel barrow and then a tip. but if half of it or even a 1/3 is in tact then its likely to live again in some shape or form.
Scrap cars can be kept in huge scrap lots, scrap merchants and breakers yards, awaiting some scavenger in need of a starter motor or two vauxhaul alloys, Others can be stripped completly of parts then sold off for metal, currently in fairly high demand as wars use it up and china builds more metal based products.

How payday loans work ?
Payday lenders make a fortune by preying on consumers who have limited access to other forms of credit.Loans payday loan offers come from out-of-state lenders, because the amount of interest that can be charged by a New York lender is set by law. Cashing in on high interest rates — and the borrowers inability to make payments — is the payday loan sting.
Lenders offer high interest loans guaranteed by your paycheck. Say, for example, you receive an offer to borrow $100 for two weeks. You might be asked to give the lender a personal check for $115. That $15 fee is the same as paying interest at an annual percentage rate (APR) of 391%. Since many of these loans are offered on-line, the loan is made electronically.
The lender holds the check until the next payday and then deposits it. You redeem the check by paying the $115 in cash. Or you can pay another fee to extend the loan (“rollover”) for another two weeks. Eventually, rollover fees will be higher than the original loan amount.
