Travel has long been a passion of mine, visiting beaches, mountains and archaeological sites; due to the demands of my professional life most of my recent travel has had to be short breaks to European cities. City breaks have given me an insight into different urban cultures, be it the Lourve in Paris, Sagrada Di Familia in Barcelona or the canal networks of Amsterdam, there is so much to discover, that takes your breath away.
But where to next? I’m visiting Salzburg this weekend. I’m sure I’ll be dancing to the sound of Mozart before I know it but I’m struggling to think where else I can visit this year which will be as inspiring as New York or Rome.
Although it’s been 4 years since I visited Rome the memories are as fresh as if I flew home yesterday. Almost every corner I turned left another great memory and I’m yet to find a place as perfect for my short city breaks.
I’ve got a list of places I think just may compare:
I expect I’ll make it to these places but perhaps with a couple of trips to Rome in between just to refresh my memory and see how they compare. For now it’s still number one but only time will tell if I can find a place just as amazing.

This is dave lawson writing from somewhere just north of manchester - I have to say I really love this new system I have had rigged up to my DAF lorry, it lets me type by talking into a mic placed in front of my steering wheel - pretty neat for a trucker eh? I had it installed by david jackson so as I could blog while driving my classic old truck around - and it works pretty damn well - 95% accurate id say - over the 98% it claims.
I found it when I was hunting through the car insurance group database looking which trucks are best when looking to cut down the money i blow each month on insurance. It has worked out I am saving £500 just by going 1 engine model down - man I am happy!

Cigars have long been associated with the rich and powerful, with relaxation and rich flavor. Cigar aficionados have created a culture around the art of smoking, assembling various theories and accessories to debate and facilitate smoking. Much like wine tasting, cigar smoking has been seen as a diversion of the upper echelons of society. It is believed that cigars were probably first produced in Spain, and then quickly caught on in other European countries. Although many different countries manufacture cigars, Cuban cigars have long been highly regarded as one of the most flavorful and rich of all cigars. This is due to regional microclimates that are said to produce the highest quality tobacco, as well as the skill of the country’s cigar makers. Other countries that produce significant amounts of tobacco and cigars include Brazil, Mexico, Honduras, Ecuador, Cameroon, Dominican Republic, Indonesia, and the United States. Why have cigars long caught the attention of so many? Many speculate that the cigar’s main attraction is in the way it is manufactured. High quality cigars are always wrapped by hand. Unlike cigarettes, cigars undergo a lengthy process of fermentation and aging (much like wine), resulting in subtle flavors and textures. They are highly individual and the best cigars will provide no smoky aftertaste at all.
The taste of cigars is much more complex than cigarettes. The majority of all cigars are created by wrapping three different layers of tobacco leaves together. High quality cigars usually contain long leaves of nicotine as the filler, although they may also contain a combination of scraps. This results in subtle variations, different textures, and complex flavors. Cigarettes, on the other hand, are mass-produced and generally only contain one type of tobacco. Cigars also come in an incredible variety of flavors. The dedicated cigar aficionado can find chocolate, vanilla, apple, and even coffee-flavored cigars!

This week I will mostly be looking at pink cars, not a topic I find myself all that knowledgeable in, certainly when it comes to pink cars for sale which adds another aspect to pink cars, that of buying and selling them. Its really all about getting a good deal in the beginning, because even if you have no accidents or your pink car doesn’t break down then you want to get good value for money and not waste time with a bad quality used pink car. So number one then - get a good quality used pink car, according to some feminists I was talking too stage two is all about your interior, getting some really good pink car accessories and filling your car with all things pink. Including music - disney songs and a solid pink stereo - one person i met even had a pink subwoofer, pretty mad!

When planning vacation and holiday getaways, don’t forget to plan for pet sitting. Consider using a pet sitter instead of a kennel. It allows your dog to stay in the comfort of their own home and helps the dog maintain a normal routine.
The best of friends, family, and kennels, cannot offer anything better than the comfort of a pet’s own home. Also, having a trusted pet sitter in your home can help protect your home from intruders.

I love cars!!!!!
Do you? At the moment I have a love for the Mercedes SLK. Its clean cut looks and no nonsense power is something a large proportion of today’s cars lack.
But what’s your 10 favourite cars? Audi A6 or the Landrover Discovery? Kia Cee’d or the Lamborghini Murcielago? BMW x5 or the Volvo V40? There are just so many cars out there – could you really choose?
Vauxhall Vectra or Renault Clio? Peugeot, Ford or Honda? CRX, CRV or SUV? 2 litre turbo or 1.9 tdi? V6, W12 or a 4 cylinder Naturally Aspirated diesel? The world of cars is full of differences, but whatever the difference, you’ll find your car/van/lorry/rollerskates!! at http://www.wheels-near-u.co.uk

Newcomers to Thailand sometimes overlook the kingdom’s rich geographical and cultural diversity. After all, one week in a five-star hotel in Bangkok or Phuket is unlikely to give a proper insight to a realm with so much to experience. But compared to the subtle variations found in many western countries, the people, culture and food of Thailand’s regions are strikingly different.
Visitors’ reactions to Bangkok, Thailand’s bustling capital city, vary as much as everything it has to offer; some say you either love it or you hate it. Traffic, pollution, heat and noise are compensated by countless restaurants, historical and cultural treasures and exotic curiosities. Shopping facilities rival those of neighboring countries, and bargain hunting is the sole purpose of many trips to Thailand. Glitzy malls or crowded markets, the choice is yours…More about Thailand
Cambodia is Asia’s fastest growing tourist destination. After about 35 years of non-stop war, this beautiful country is finally re-emerging from the darkness.
Since the time of the Vietnam war in the sixties, Cambodia has had to suffer “secret” carpet bombings by the United States, followed by the reign of terror of the Khmer Rouge, a Vietnamese takeover, and a further 20 years of civil war.
